Meine Meinung:
Sylvia Bergstrom versucht im fünften Teil einige Quilts ihrer Mutter wiederzufinden, welche ihre Schwester Claudia verkauft hat, um geld zu machen. Paralell dazu wird die Geschichte zur Entstehung dieser Quilts erzählt und man erfährt wieder sehr viel über die Geschichte der Familie Bergstrom und auch über die Familie Lockwood, also der Familie von Eleanor, der Mutter Sylvias.
Andrew begleitet Sylvia auf der Reise, die sie auf der Suche nach den Decken der Mutter unternimmt und ihre Beziehung wird immer tiefer, sodass sie sich verloben, was Andrews Kindern nicht wirklich gefällt.

Ich finde die Geschichte rund um die Elm Creek Quilter interessant und lesenswert. Zum einen ist der Schreibstil der Autorin leicht und flüssig zu lesen, zum anderen ist die Geschichte durchaus spannend. Sie entführt den Leser nicht nur in die Welt des Quiltens/Patchworkens, sondern auch auf eine Reise in die Vergangenheit einer Familie, deren Mitglieder nicht unterschiedlicher sein könnten.
Daher von mir auch für den fünften Teil fünf Grisus.
